In Libya, rebels in the port city of Misrata say they've captured the local airport and pushed Muammar Gaddafi's forces ever further away from the city's western outskirts.

In Tripoli, at least four air strikes appeared to target the city overnight. Both Libyan government officials and state run television say the NATO strikes targeted Gaddafi's sprawling compound in Tripoli.

Meanwhile, Libyan TV also showed Gaddafi meeting tribal leaders, but did not record him speaking. The last time Gaddafi had been seen in public was April 9th, when he visited a school in the capital.
