AKP supporters are celebrating the party's win. They honked horns and waved flags as they drove around towns across the country. Prime Mininster Erdogan delivered a victory speech to supporters from the balcony of the AK Party headquarters in Ankara.

He said, "Our people did not only grant us the chance to rule the country but they also gave us a mission for a new charter. People gave us a message to build the new constitution through consensus and negotiation. We will write a civilian, free constitution which braces all parties of the society together, everybody will find himself in this constitution, east will find himself, west will find himself."

Political analysts say Turkey has tremendous issues to be solved, including the Kurdish conflict and a new constitution. They say the two issues require consensus and dialogue with the other parties and with the constituents and society at large.
