Egypt's former President, Hosni Mubarak, has received a medical check-up. Doctors say the results are satisfactory but his psychological state is deteriorating.

Accompanied by his wife, Mubarak received his check-up at the Sharm el-Sheikh International Hospital. He and his two sons will be tried in Cairo on Wednesday. Judges promise Mubarak will receive a speedy trial with all hearings broadcast live on state television.

Mubarak, his security chief and six top police officers face possible death sentences if found guilty of charges they ordered the use of lethal force against protesters during Egypt's 18-day uprising. Some 850 were killed.
