Two Chinese naval ships are on a goodwill visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to mark the 50th anniversary of a friendship treaty between the two countries.

PLA training warship, "Zheng He" and its escort ship "Luo Yang", docked at the DPRK's eastern port city of Wonsan on Thursday morning. More than 2,000 people welcomed the Chinese ships to the port, including Wonsan residents, Chinese nationals living there and DPRK navy soldiers.
