The vice president of Libya's rebel government has announced its executive committee will undergo an overhaul. On Monday, the rebels' National Transitional Council dissolved the committee after determining that mistakes were made surrounding last month's slaying of rebel military chief, General Abdel-Fattah Younis.

Abdul Hafiz Ghoga, NTC Vice Chairman, said, "There will be a reshuffle of the entire executive office. Mahmoud Jibril has been appointed to head the discussions and name the new executive office members. They will then be presented to the NTC to be accepted and legitimized. We seek to have a transitional government to take care of the main sectors that are required for this stage - the stage of liberation and struggle."
