Vice Premier Li Keqiang in HK for 3-day visit

China's Vice Premier Li Keqiang arrived in Hong Kong on Tuesday morning to start a three-day tour to the Special Administrative Region.

Li was greeted by the Chief Executive of Hong Kong SAR, Mr. Donald Tsang and the Director of the Liaison Office for the Chinese Central People's Government in Hong Kong, Mr. Peng Qinghua.

Li Keqiang told reporters he will be attending a forum to discuss the 12th Five-Year Program for National Economic and Social Development and financial and trade cooperation between the mainland and Hong Kong.

The Vice Premier promised new measures to facilitate Hong Kong's development and boost cooperation between Chinese mainland and Hong Kong.

During his visit, Li Keqiang will also attend celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the University of Hong Kong.
