Biden's agenda has also been a focus of US media, which expect the US debt issue and fiscal problems to be the highlights.

According to the New York Times, Biden has delayed his original departure date in July to help hammer out the agreement that forestalled default on some obligations but failed to avert a downgrade of Americas' triple A credit ratings by Starndard & Poors.

And the Huffington Post reports Biden will re-assure Chinese leaders that the US is committed to tackling its fiscal challenges, emphasizing aspects of the recent debt ceiling deal and deficit reduction plans.

And the White House and Treasury Department announced in a telephone briefing that a day prior to Biden's departure, the vice president will introduce to China a basket of deficit reduction bills that Obama signed early August.
