In Wen-zhou train collision, 40 people were killed. But things are looking positive for 2-year-old Xiang Weiyi, known as Yiyi, whose legs were seriously crushed in the accident. Yiyi underwent her fifth operation on Monday. Guo Yuan, an expert in children's orthopaedics from Beijing Jishuitan Hospital, was sent to supervise Yiyi's latest operation.

During a press conference on Tuesday afternoon, Guo and other Ministry of Health experts who evaluated the toddler said the little girl has now recovered some feeling in her left leg. They agreed that her leg would not have to be amputated. As for whether she will be transferred to another hospital, they say that's up to her family.
