US VP attends basketball game between US, China in Beijing

Shortly after his arrival, US Vice President Joe Biden attended a friendly men's basketball game between China's Shanxi Zhongyu Brave Dragons and the US's Georgetown University Hoyas.

The game was held in a stadium inside the National Olympic Sports Center. Biden watched the match sitting beside the new US Ambassador to China, Gary Locke. After a fierce competition, the Hoyas beat the Brave Dragons 98 to 81. The White House said earlier that Biden's tour of China, will be the first of planned reciprocal visits, between the vice presidents. This was announced during Chinese President Hu Jintao's state visit to the United States, in January.
