Libyan rebels have celebrated another victory in Sabratha, west of the Libyan capital Tripoli. This comes after at least 3 days of fighting against forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi. The rebels say they secured almost all of the city on Thursday after fighting Gaddafi soldiers and snipers taking district after district.

Sabratha rose up against Gaddafi at the start of the conflict but were soon crushed by government forces. But the main coastal road linking Sabratha and Zawiya, where rebels took control of the refinery, is not under the control of the rebels.
