Heavy monsoon rains continue to cause widespread devastation in southern Pakistan. The floods, which began in August, have reportedly killed about 200 people and left around 200,000 homeless.

Villagers in Golar-chi in Sindh province have had to flee to higher ground as heavy rainfall flooded their homes overnight.

Over the weekend, the UN said it would help the victims in the disaster zone, where many affected communities are still recovering from last year's devastating floods.

Meanwhile, dengue fever has been spreading, killing 13 people. In the province of Punjab, nearly 3,000 cases have been reported.
