In its latest effort to cut down greenhouse gas emissions, Paris has introduced an electric car rental service. 250 cars will be available for rental after the initial launch of the service. And by next summer, that number is likely to increase to 2,000. The cars can be rented by the hour, day or even year, with the pricing ranging from 4 to 144 euros.

Paris resident said: "I once had a car but sold it, Paris is getting more and more crowded, so I stick with public transportation. Electric cars will be another great option, especially if I go shopping and carry a lot of bulky items.”
