Several Occupy DC protesters have been arrested in a downtown park in Washington D.C. The arrests happened as police tried to take down a two-story-high wooden house frame that protesters were building without a permit. Police officers said the structure was unsafe and illegal. However, a demonstrator said police had allowed the construction of the structure as long as it was moved every four days.

Protester Jennifer said: "This should be a non-issue. Five people shouldn’t have been arrested already. What should have happened is they should have said, you know, this is larger than we intended when we gave your permission to build the structure. They should have changed the stipulations on their rules and then they should have come back in three days. But there’s no reason for this to be happening now."
