China backs Afghan reconstruction

Foreign Minister Yang Jie-chi has re-affirmed China's stance at the Bonn conference on Afghanistan's future. He urged the international community to actively support peaceful reconstruction.

He also called for self-administration in Afghanistan. Yang Jie-chi said China strongly backs Afghanistan’s economic development, and will provide further support in accordance with its own capacity and Afghan needs.
