Meanwhile, Beijing hopes Washington can relax controls on the export of high-tech products, and treat Chinese companies equally in the US.

Geithner highly praises the achievement made through the state visit to US by Chinese President Hu Jintao. He emphasizes the US is willing to make concerted efforts with China to promote exchange and cooperation, and deepen economic ties.

Wang Qishan says, the world faces a tough situation, and a global economic recovery is the top priority for different countries. China and the US, two important members of the G20, should do their share to promote robust, sustainable and balanced growth.

The US Treasury Secretary will spend two days in China. He will also meet Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, and other top Chinese officials, on Wednesday.
