Greek Deputy Labor Minister Yiannis Koutsoukos has resigned from the interim government, saying he disagrees strongly with the new austerity measures.

Koutsoukos said some of the measures included in the deal - which has been approved by the leaders of the three coalition parties - were unconstitutional, breached treaties and went against European norms.

He also accused the International Monetary Fund of ignoring the impact that the measures would have on the deep recession in Greece.
