During his talks with the US Vice President, Xi Jinping also explained China’s position on Syria.
Xi said it is aimed at safeguarding peace and stability in the Middle East and is in line with relevant international principles.
Xi said China is willing to continue its constructive role in easing the tensions in Syria.
