China’s Guangdong High Court has finished the second hearing on Apple’s appeal of a ruling against its right to use the iPad trademark in China, but no conclusion has reached in court.

Apple says Proview's breach of contract is driven by huge economic interests, and that Proview sees this as a business opportunity to seek high compensation. Apple also says that Proview sold it the rights to use iPad trademark in 10 different countries, including China, in 2009, but contends that Proview has refused to honour the agreement.

Proview announced earlier it was seeking to regain worldwide rights to the iPad name, and is suing Apple’s US branch for alleged fraud and unfair competition. It’s hoping to have the 2009 trademark sale ruled void and an order for Apple to stop using the trademarks.
