2 Chinese workers kidnapped in Cairo released

Two Chinese workers were kidnapped by several unknown gunmen on Thursday morning in Cairo. Zhang Zhizhong, director of the consular affairs of the Chinese embassy in Cairo, said the kidnapped were brothers in their 20s.

They are workers of a marble company in southern China's Guangdong province. The two were just leaving their rented apartment in Maadi district southern Cairo, who were demanded a ransom of 83,000 US Dollar for their release. So far, the two have been released.
