Video claims to show clashes and protests in Syria

Amateur video purporting to show scenes from various locations inside Syria demonstrates a continuing heavy military presence on the streets as well as ongoing shelling and protests.

The scenes are said to have been filmed in Homs on Friday and show tanks on the street and cars and buildings burning. Further video shows protesters on the streets of the city.The protesters shown say they have no connection to Syrian opposition parties or any other states.

Similar pictures are said to have been filmed in the Syrian capital Damascus, also on Friday, showing protesters on the street, marching and chanting. The authenticity of the footage cannot be independently verified.
