Chinese envoy says China, Arab countries share consensus on solving Syrian crisis

Arab League Secretary General Nabil Al-Arabi has met with Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister and envoy to the Middle East Zhang Ming on the Syrian crisis in Cairo.

During the meeting, al-Arabi agreed on a 6-point statement by China to develop a consensus to resolve the crisis in Syria by peaceful means.

Zhang Ming stressed China’s support for the efforts of the Arab League on the situation in Syria. He also said China would like to exchange views with Arab countries to reach a just, peaceful and proper resolution.

During his trip, Zhang Ming has also met with Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohammed Kamel Amr to discuss bilateral relations and the Syrian crisis.
