British Prime Minister David Cameron has arrived in the US for a three-day visit. During his stay, he will meet with President Barack Obama to discuss a wide range of issues including the global economy, Afghanistan’ s transition, the Iranian nuclear standoff and Syria’s unrest.

In a joint editorial in Tuesday’s Washington Post, the two leaders condemned what they called the "horrific violence against innocent civilians" by the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. They added they are seeking to prepare the ground for a change of leadership in Syria.

Prime Mnister David Cameron and Barack Obama are set to underline unity between
Britain and the United States.

Obama and Cameron will also send a strong message to Iran, asking it to "meet its international obligations or face the consequences".

The ultimatum comes amid accusations by some in the international community that Iran is building nuclear weapons, a charge denied by Tehran.
