Syria’s President has reportedly agreed to keep the content of Kofi Annan’s peace plan that demands an immediate ceasefire and talks with the opposition.

A Syrian pro-government newspaper says Annan received a letter with the news from President Bashar al-Assad. This comes as a Middle East diplomat claimed Assad was ready for a ceasefire only if the details were clearer. Assad has ordered a legislative election for May 7th.
