Prosecutor Francois Molins revealed that Merah had earlier told police about a camera on which he had filmed footage of the assaults.

Francois Molins said: "He did tell us - and that helped the investigators to find the location - of a bag he had given to someone, and where a GoPro camera was found that he carried and that allowed him to film the shootings he was responsible for. The films are very, very explicit and we were able to watch them, in which we see him with the soldier who wanted to sell his bike, and then he fired two bullets at him saying ’you are killing my brothers so I am killing you’. He can then be seen in Montauban with the three soldiers in an extremely violent scene and fleeing the location screaming "God is great". We finally see him committing the killings in the Jewish school in Toulouse last Monday morning."
