30 Pakistani soldiers have died and another 120 remain buried in snow after an avalanche in Kashmir.

A Pakistani security official says the heavy snowfall bombarded an army headquarters in the Siachen Glacier area early on Saturday morning. Rescue operations are under way. Siachen is on the northern tip of the divided Kashmir region claimed by both India and Pakistan.
