Authorities in Nigeria are continuing their investigation into a suicide bombing on Sunday that left at least 38 people dead in Kaduna.

According to witnesses, the attack happened at a busy junction and left bullet-like holes in buildings. Police patrols have been increased in key areas, including the Nigerian capital, Abuja, where soldiers have been sent to reinforce security personnel posted around Christian churches.

Sunday's blast is the latest in a string of attacks against Christians in Nigeria, which is Africa's most populous nation and largest oil producer.
