China to review Neil Heywood's death

04-10-2012 23:10 BJT

China’s public security authorities have set up a special review group to look into the death of the British citizen, Neil Heywood, in Chongqing, on November 15th, 2011. His death was reported by the former vice mayor of Chongqing, Wang Lijun, after Wang entered the US General Consulate in Chengdu on February 6th on his own.

The investigation revealed that Bo-Gu Kailai, the wife of Wang Lijun’s boss at the time, Bo Xilai, and her son, had been on good terms with Neil Heywood, until they fell out over economic disputes.

Evidence showed that Neil Heywood was murdered. Bo-Gu Kailai and Zhang Xiaojun, a family employee, are the major suspects.

The two are suspected of premeditated murder, and have been sent for judicial processing.

Officials in charge say that China is a socialist country under the rule of law. And anyone who breaks the law will be dealt with accordingly.
