Investigators in the US state of Arizona say they’ve found a half dozen grenades in the home where a former Marine shot four people and then took his own life. Jason Todd Ready of Phoenix had ties to neo-Nazi groups.

Police say Ready shot and killed his girlfriend and the woman’s daughter, daughter’s boyfriend and their 16-month child. Police say evidence suggests a domestic dispute. But they added investigators aren’t sure what triggered it.

Many considered Ready to be the most high-profile neo-Nazi in Arizona. He founded the US Border Guard, a private-citizen militia in Arizona. He led groups of heavily armed civilians into the desert to look for illegal immigrants. He also repeatedly tried to win public office.

Hugo Mederos, father of shooting victim Amber Nieve Mederos, grandfather of 15-month old victim Lilly, Amber's baby, and ex-husband of victim Lisa Lynn Mederos, sits in a car after speaking outside of the home where five people were gunned down Thursday, May 3, 2012 in Gilbert, Ariz. Police have identified one of the five people killed in a shooting in a Phoenix suburb as a former Marine with ties to new-Nazi and Minutemen groups. (AP Photo/Matt York)
