Vice Premier Li Keqiang wraps up Europe visit

Vice Premier Li Keqiang has returned to Beijing, following 9 days of official visits to Russia, Hungary, Belgium and the EU headquarters in Brussels.

During his stay in Russia, Li Keqiang held meetings with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, and other senior officials. He oversaw the signing of 27 trade contracts worth some 15 billion US dollars.

Meanwhile, speaking in Brussels, Li called on China and the EU to treat each other with respect, deepen mutual understanding, and address differences through dialogue. The vice premier urged European countries to be more flexible over the transfer of technology to China, and to step up cooperation on new greener forms of energy.
