The Syrian opposition has announced an end to the ceasefire, part of Kofi Annan’s peace plan.

A spokesman of the Free Syrian Army said on Monday that, given the continued attacks by government forces, Annan’s plan has failed to bring an end to the violence. They have now resumed attacks on government forces.

President Assad’s government says at least 80 soldiers were killed over the weekend. However, Damascus has agreed to allow humanitarian workers and supplies into four provinces hit the hardest by the violence. That’s according to the UN.
