China has strongly condemned the Damascus blast which killed three top officials in the Syrian government.

Foreign Ministry spokesman, Hong Lei, says China opposes any form of terrorist activities and violence. China is deeply concerned about the constant tension in Syria. It calls for an immediate ceasefire and implementation of the six point plan which had been proposed by Kofi Annan, and also the resolutions made by the UN Security Council and foreign minister’s meeting of the action group on Syria. China hopes to solve the current Syrian crisis as early as possible.
