Weather authorities say heavy rains will sweep large part of China in the next three days, with rainstorms expected in some regions.

The National Meteorological Center says North and northeast China, including Beijing, Tianjin and Hei-long-jiang will see torrential rains from Wednesday to Friday. The Centre says the new round of rainstorms will be less intense compared to those over the weekend, but the previously affected areas could receive rainfall of more than 50 millimetres.

Authorities say torrential rains since Friday have left 111 dead and another 47 missing. Meanwhile, typhoon Vicente hit Tai-shan city in Guang-dong province Tuesday afternoon, bringing heavy rains to South and southwestern China. Weather authorities warned parts of Guang-dong, Guang-xi and Hainan will see rainfall of up to 350 millimetres.
