European Commission President, Jose Manuel Barroso, and Greek Prime Minister, Antonis Samaras, are holding a joint press conference in Athens.

This follows a trip by a group of international lenders who are trying to decide whether to keep releasing fund from a 130 billion euros bailout package or let the country go bust.

Earlier, International debt inspectors met with Greek Finance Minister, Yannis Stournaras, and Development Minister, Kostis Hatzidakis, for debt talks. This will determine the International Monetary Fund’s decision on giving the debt-ridden country a further rescue loan.

Inspectors from the troika, the trio of international lenders keeping Greece afloat, are to relaunch the country’s stalled economic plan, as the Greek government is at pains to show it is making progress on reforms.
