It’s a gold medal that means more than standing at world’s top spot in gymnastics for South Korean Yang Kak Seon. This also means bringing home the country’s first ever gold in the sporting event.

Yang is now entitled to about 141,700 US dollars in prize money. And one real estate company in South Korea also plans to give him and his family a 116 square meters apartment that will be handed over next year. This is truly a dream come true for him, who once expressed wishes to "win gold and build a house for my parents, who live in a vinyl greenhouse".

Yang pulled off the highest level techniques and a perfect landing in men’s vault on Monday. He finished with an average of 16-point-5-3-3, winning with what foreign media called the most difficult vault any gymnast has ever successfully landed.
