London Mayor Boris Johnson has held a joint news conference with Mayor Eduardo Paes of Rio de Janeiro in London.

At the Olympic closing ceremony tomorrow, London will hand over to 2016 Olympics host Rio de Janeiro. Brazilians have praised the London Games as simply perfect and vow to carry the torch on in Rio. With four years to go, the city is already gearing up for the Games. All major construction work is under way.

The Brazilian organizers have promised full venues at the 2016 Olympics, vowing to avoid the problem of empty seats that dogged the London Games. But some organizing committee officials say providing sufficient transportation and accommodation will be Rio’s main challenges.
