ireworks have set off preceding the kick off of the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony. Olympic organizers have transformed the main stadium from a sports area into what they described as the best after-show party on Earth.

The closing ceremony is called "A Symphony of British Music - A Celebration of British Creativity in the Arts". The price tag for the closing ceremony has not been revealed. The opening ceremony was widely reported as costing about 40 million US dollars, but it is clear Sunday’s closing event will be lower.
