China and Russia have pledged to work more closely on strategic security issues, as the two countries wrap up their seventh round of strategic security consultations in Moscow. Chinese State Councillor Dai Bingguo and Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev led the two delegations in the talks.
Dai Bingguo says China and Russia have common interests in strategic security, and China is willing to jointly work with Russia to boost the two countries’ comprehensive strategic partnership. Patrushev lauded the development of Russia-China ties, saying there was no obstacle between them. Dai Bingguo left Beijing for the talks on Sunday, and will pay an official visit to Mongolia starting Wednesday.
