One amateur video posted online purportedly shows the aftermath of a Syrian army bombardment in northeastern Aleppo. It shows people running down a flaming street, away from smoke in the distance. It also shows people being rescued from a damaged building by being loaded into the front part of a bulldozer.

And in Damascus, activists say at least four people were killed and dozens wounded on Tuesday in ground and aerial bombardments of one of the last rebel strongholds. Numerous buildings were hit by artillery and helicopter gunfire in the Hajar al-Aswad neighbourhood. The government forces and allied militia have been accused by the UN of numerous large-scale massacres, though the rebels are also facing allegations of mass killings.
