The 1st Annual World Congress of the Ocean has been held in the port city of Dalian, in northeast China. The gathering has brought together world leaders, NGOs, researchers and businesses from around the world. The purpose of the conference is to raise awareness of the role that oceans play in our lives.
Given China’s large coastline, the conference is providing a vital platform to bring together Chinese and foreign delegates, who are looking to exchange ideas and to search for new opportunities in the world’s oceans. The event is being held on a large cruise to emphasize the importance of the sea.

As our cruise ship sets sail, the 1st world congress of ocean is about to kick off at the upper deck. The conference will touch on topics related to ocean resource development, sea transportation management, evaluation on the Marine Industry and many more. The idea of holding the event while sailing away makes the whole experience more vivid and interactive.
Under the theme of the "New Wave of the World Marine Economy", experts have brought in a range of ideas like building maritime transport hubs, and how to create new opportunities while also addressing global needs.
