The boat that went down in Monday night’s boat collision in Hong Kong, the "Lamma Four", has been pulled out of the water to a nearby harbor. The death toll now stands at 38 people, 5 of them children. 27 people are still being treated in hospital.

The accident happened when a ferry collided with a chartered boat packed with revellers in Hong Kong. The boat sank soon after off Lamma Island, three kilometres southwest of Hong Kong Island.

Hong Kong policemen have set up blockades on the shore and continue the investigation. The fire department has sent a team to survey the damaged ferry.

Preliminary result shows the stern was seriously damaged, and all masts broken. The bottom was cracked. Seven crew members have been arrested on suspicion of endangering the safety of others at sea.
