At least 22 people have been killed in days of fighting in Libya’s town of Bani Walid, Libya’s state news agency LANA reports.

According to the news agency, some 200 people have been injured in clashes between pro-government forces and its opposition. Hundreds of protesters have stormed Libya’s parliament building demanding an end to the siege on Bani Walid.

The protesters in Tripoli gathered on Sunday as hundreds of Libyan families and foreign workers fled from the besieged town. Meanwhile, confusion remains about the capture of Gaddafi’s ex-spokesman, Mousssa Ibrahim.

On Saturday, the prime minister’s office announced government forces had arrested Ibrahim south of Tripoli. But a recording purportedly by Ibrahim later appeared on the internet denying the report.
