China's Ambassador to Cambodia, Pan Guangxue, has paid tribute to the country’s late King-Father Norodom Sihanouk at the Royal Palace.

Pan, together with other embassy officials, were received by the former Cambodian Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, on behalf of the royal family. This has been the first time for embassy officials in Cambodia to pay tribute since Sihanouk’s body arrived in Phnom Penh last Wednesday.

Meanwhile, officials from the Philippines, Russia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Laos and other countries also visited the Royal Palace and paid their tributes. The country announced a week of mourning from October 17th to the 23rd.

The body of the King-Father will be lying in state for at least three months at the Royal Palace before it is cremated.
