Over 500 deputies of Vietnam’s 13th National Assembly have gathered in Hanoi for the fourth session to discuss the country’s legislative and socio-economic issues.

Addressing the opening ceremony, the Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Sinh Hung said that Vietnam has gained remarkable achievements in curbing inflation, ensuring social stability, maintaining an appropriate growth rate and restructuring economy.

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung delivered the government work report on the country’s socio-economic development in 2012 and plans for 2013. He stressed the government’s determination in implementing measures to fulfill the targets.
