Late Palestinian leader, Yasser Arafat’s body to be exhumed after 8 years, prompted by calls from his widow for a murder investigation.

A team of medical and forensic experts will arrive in the West Bank city of Ramallah on November 24th to carry out the procedure. Arafat’s widow Suha had asked judges in France this summer to launch a murder probe into her husband’s death. This after Swiss scientists found traces of polonium on the late leader’s clothes.

8 years ago, the founder of the Palestine National Liberation Movement, Yasser Arafat, died after several weeks of treatment in a military hospital near Paris. Many in the Arab world have long accused Israeli agents of poisoning him.
