Malaysia promises regular briefings for relatives

China is calling on Malaysia to provide a unified information channel, to provide regular updates on the search for missing flight 370. 

The request came during talks between Chinese and Malaysian officials in Beijing on Wednesday. Chinese officials thanked Malaysia for its search and rescue efforts since the flight lost contact on Saturday. But they called on both the Malaysian government and Malaysia Airlines to coordinate better in providing confirmed facts on progress in the search. China has reaffirmed its commitment to working with Malaysia to find the missing plane. 

Malaysia is promising to hold regular briefings for relatives of the missing passengers, and maximize efforts to address their concerns.、
