Li Na cruises into quarter-final

China's Li Na continues to confirm her place among the women's tennis elite. The 13th seed China's Li Na thrashed to the quarter-final of the Madrid Open. She battered Ukraine's Alona Bondarenko in straight sets on Thursday night.

Li Na broke the serve of Bondarenko in the first set, taking the advantage of service, she had a good 3-0 opening. Then Bondarenko tried her best to fight back, but it was still Li who won the set 6-3. Li continued to dominated the second set, and she won 5 of the 18 breaks of serve, after about one and a half hour, Li thrashed to the last eight with 6-3, 6-4 win.

"Actually I am so excited that I can enter the last eight at such a big tournament. It was a difficult match today. I met her three years ago, and that was also a tough match. I prepared for a difficult contest, but I did not expect that I could win in only two sets." Li said.
