Highlights from day three at Wimbledon

Three-time Wimbledon runner-up Andy Roddick came from a set down to beat Michael Llodra 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 to progress to the third round of the competition on Wednesday (23rd June)

In the women's draw two Belgians progressed - 8th seed Kim Clijsters with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Karolina Sprem of Croatia and Justine Henin, seeded 17th, who beat Kristina Barrois of Germany 6-3, 7-5.

Second seed Venus Williams meanwhile had a straightforward 6-0, 6-4 win over Ekaterina Makarova of Russia but the men's top seed Roger Federer had to survive another tense early-round match when he overcame Serbian qualifier Ilija Bozoljac 6-3, 6-7 (4), 6-4, 7-6 (5).

Fifth seed Andy Roddick faced Michael Llodra on Centre Court on Wednesday as the sun beat down on Wimbledon.The American had a shaky start, losing the first set 4-6 to his unseeded French opponent.

But Roddick then found his rhythm and took the next three sets 6-4, 6-1, 7-6 for the match and a place in the third round of this grass court event.

Though he had dropped a set, Roddick hit 25 aces, lost serve just once and committed only 11 unforced errors.
