Cesare Prandelli has officially taken up his post as coach of Italy's national football team. He was unveiled at Rome's Olympic Stadium and his appointment came following the Azzurri's desperate display at the 2010 World Cup under World Cup winning coach Macello Lippi.
The former Fiorentina boss has signed a four-year contract to succeed the outgoing manager, who guided Italy to World Cup glory in 2006. The 52-year-old officially took up his new post on Thursday, saying he would like to see Italy among the top four teams in the world.
