Yao Ming and his "2010 Foundation Charity Tour" saw the Chinese national team and America Stars squad go head to head. The result was not important as it was another chance for the mainland players to get together and practice.

Yao Ming still can't get on court due to injury, but as the founder of the Foundation Charity Tour, he expressed his thanks before the match to all who had turned up.

Yao Ming said, "Please give the applause to the Chinese National Basketball team for participating, and also our friends from the US who give up rest to come to China for the tour. And above all else, thanks to you the fans. Your support will bring children a different future."

Due to injury, key player Yi Jianlian, Liu Wei, Zhu Fangyu and Tang Zhengdong didn't play on the court. And the young players got more chances to play. Guo Ailun's performance stood out. At the tender age of 17, Guo made his debut under the watching eyes of his Uncle, assistant coach of the national basketball team Guo Shiqiang. He earned his place in the senior side after starring in the Under 17 World Youth Championships. He won the title of best scorer in that competition and in the charity match Guo gained 11 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds.

China did lose the match 101-95. but for many of the players it was another run out and a way to meet and improve technique with the best America has to offer.
