Slovenia beat Australia to win Stankovic Cup

Australia and Slovenia faced off in the 2010 Stankovic Continental Cup final. Australia's David Barlow made a steal and picked out Patrick Mills. The Portland Trail Blazers guard added the finishing touch to give the 'Boomers' a 6-point lead.

Slovenia chipped away at the Aussies' advantage. The Europeans went in front when Phoenix Suns guard Goran Dragic drained a three-pointer.

Slovenia led by 2 at the half. But Australia tied it just after the restart. Joe Ingles drove the baseline for the jam. The Aussies playing tough in the title match.

The Slovenians came through in the fourth quarter with some long range marksmanship from Dragic. He hit another three to give Slovenia a 52-44 lead.

Australia clawing its way back with a solid run, but eventual MVP Dragic came to the rescue again. He gave his side a five-point lead with a driving basket...60-55 Slovenia.

And Slovenia slammed the door on the Australians with a minute to go. Samo Udrih hit a clutch three-pointer to make it 65-57. Slovenia went on to a 71-60 victory and became the first nation to lift the Stankovic Cup twice, after winning it for the first time in 2007.
